Group PSA offers free roadside assistance for NHS staff

News

Groupe PSA has announced that its Roadside Assistance programme has been extended for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic to all NHS workers who currently drive a Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles or Vauxhall vehicle and do not already have any mechanical breakdown cover.

The Roadside Assistance programme has previously been available only to customers who have purchased a new Peugeot, Citroën or Vauxhall for twelve months, three years for DS, from the date of first registration. This new extension will be offered regardless of vehicle age, mileage or if the vehicle has previously been maintained outside the Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles or Vauxhall Authorised Repairer network.

If the vehicle is immobilised on the road or at home, Roadside Assistance will be sent out to get it back on the road. If the vehicle is unable to be mobilised at the roadside, a suitable recovery will be arranged for the vehicle to be taken to the nearest Peugeot/Citroën/DS Automobiles/Vauxhall Authorised Repairer or Independent Motor Trader of the driver’s choice, up to a distance of 10 miles, and a taxi will be offered for the driver and passenger(s) to continue their journey to a single destination up to 20 miles.

In addition to the extension of the Roadside Assistance program, goodwill payments have been increased to support and mobilise NHS workers whose Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles and Vauxhall vehicles are no longer within the manufacturer's warranty.
