GM creates dedicated team for autonomous driving

General Motors (GM) has created a specially dedicated team to accelerate the company’s technical capabilities for autonomous driving.

The new team will be led by Doug Parks, GM’s vice president for global product, and will be tasked with developing autonomous drive vehicles among other advanced vehicles technologies.

The new team is in operation as of 1 February and will be the single point of contact for critical technologies in the areas of electrical architecture, controls and software and system and safety integration.
