Awarding excellence, celebrating success

Feature

The Fleet Safety Forum’s annual Awards programme is sponsored by Arval and rewards organisations that implement innovative and effective road risk management strategies.

The Fleet Safety Forum is a long standing not-for-profit initiative run by Brake, the road safety charity. The Forum’s prestigious annual Awards programme is now in its 10th year.

The Awards for Excellence are open to anyone working in fleet safety and recognise achievements and innovations in fleet safety in ten categories, including: Road Risk Manager of the Year; Company Driver Safety; Fleet Safety Innovation; Fleet Safety Partnership; and Fleet Safety Product.

Winning an Award is of enormous benefit to a company’s image, raising its profile within the fleet safety arena, and with its customers, suppliers and other companies, as well as being a huge pat on the back to the hard working people whose continued efforts to improve fleet safety really do save lives. Last year’s winners included a diverse range of companies of different sizes and types of fleet, such as: Tesco Dotcom; Balfour Beatty; Iron Mountain; Cummins; CEMEX; and VolkerRail. Rory Morgan, National Logistics General Manager at Iron Mountain, winner of the Company Driver Safety Award (small to medium fleets) says: “Iron Mountain was delighted to receive a prestigious Fleet Safety Forum Award in 2011, and attending the ceremony made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I would definitely recommend entering and attending the Awards to anybody within the fleet industry.”

Although the deadline for entering this year’s Awards has now passed, you can still attend the 2012 Awards ceremony and gala dinner dance to find out who’s won the prestigious awards this year as well as taking advantage of a fantastic fleet industry networking opportunity. The event takes place on Thursday 14 June 2012 at the MacDonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham. Attending the Awards ceremony is the perfect introduction to the Fleet Safety Forum and its work. Tickets cost just £110 per person or £1000 for a table of ten and include a three course dinner and entertainment.
